From Our Own Correspondent

In this audio essay I reflect on my encounter with a Congolese migrant I met in Costa Rica, while producing Last Cola in the Desert. Sheltering in the bus station during a thunderstorm, I brushed off my rusty French and listened to his story of the journey from West Africa - a journey that he hopes will one day end thousands of miles north, in the United States.
